Baby Vincent Update: Week 22

We are at the 22 week mark with little Grant and I am feeling him move now!

It feels like air bubbles, and I'm not sure he sleeps much, just like his Dad!

Overall I am feeling good. I am still getting in 3-5 workouts a week depending on our schedules, and I alternate prenatal yoga with the elliptical.

I feel like I eat all the time, but I am making mostly healthy decisions, with a few small bowls of ice cream or slices of pizza mixed in!

For some great baby stuff my sister is making check out my what I'm loving Wednesday!

Fill in the blank Friday

Happy Memorial Day weekend! Let's do some great blanks.

1. The best surprise ever would be a random day off work, like a "snow day" in July so you could enjoy the sun!

2. My wedding is my most favorite memory.

3. The hardest, but most worthwhile thing I've ever done was I don't think I have done anything I would classify as "hard" but I think that will probably change soon with the rest of my pregnancy, birth, etc.

4. The best part of my day is after dinner when Bond and I hang out in the living room, reading or watching a show.

5. Something I like that most people don't is cottage cheese. I find a lot of people do not like it's consistency.

6. Something I am willing to fight for is my marriage and family.

7. Something you might not know about me is I can't dive, like into a pool, not sure why because I took swim lessons but I just can't do it. It usually turns into a belly flop so I just stopped trying to learn.

Have a great weekend!

Baby Vincent Update: Week 21

Happy Tuesday! So I am slacking this week and didn't post a menu Monday, but we are cooking at home all week, especially because I get to share the cooking with my sister who is staying with us while her and her husband get settled in OKC.

Here is what is happening with Baby Grant this week....

I am of course are feeling great this week, we know it's a boy! And he is healthy!! I am mostly eating fruit and really enjoying pizza! Which is not the healthiest thing, but I am sticking mostly to fruit and whole wheats.

After two weekends of traveling I am a bit above the "ideal" weight gain at 20 pounds up, but I am back to my regular routine with eating and working out, and I feel great...most of the time.

Oh and in case you missed the post last Wednesday Baby V is officially Grant Don Ross Vincent. Yes two middle names, just like is Dad!

Fill in the blank Friday

Happy Friday! Let's fill in some happiness themed blanks today.

1. Something that is near and dear to my heart is my family and friends. It is very important to me, and Bond, to make time to spend with our families, and for us that includes our friends!

2. Everyday is good cause to celebrate. this weekend we are celebrating two things my youngest sister is moving to town and our healthy baby boy!

3. The most fun I ever had was that's hard because I get to do a lot of fun things, but I think I would go with my honeymoon, a road trip to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. We made stops along the way and just got to do our own thing for the whole week!

4. True friends are the ones that no matter how often you talk you pickup right where you left off, like no time has passed.

5. Something that makes me terribly happy is being oregnant and spending an evening on the couch with Bond, talking about Baby Grant and maybe throw in a foot rub!

6. A good way to spend a sunny day is sitting on a patio with cold drinks, good food, and great friends.

7. My favorite celebratory food is cookies, especially cookie cake!

have a happy weekend!

What I'm loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday! I have a lot of love this Week!

I'm loving... That this morning Bond and I found out we are having a baby boy! And he looks healthy and right on schedule!!

I still haven't felt him move yet, but he was very active during the ultrasound. It is nice to have a pronoun to use, and a name... Grant Don Ross Vincent. Bond has 2 middle names so we are sticking with that idea.

I'm loving... Some great pinterest finds...All baby boy themed!

Menu Monday

Happy Monday, I missed last week but did have some great items that I hope to post about soon! Here is my menu for this week...

Monday - spaghetti with chicken, spinach, asiago sausage and quartered artichokes. I have a meeting tonight and this is a fast easy option.

Tuesday - we have a clergy appreciation dinner at church so no cooking!

Wednesday - make your own tacos. This can be extremely healthy and quick. We usually do black beans, salsa, spinach, low carb tortillas, and chicken. I also add up to an ounce of grated cheese and sometimes a dollop of light sour cream.

Thursday - clean out the left overs night. My sister and brother in law will be moving in Saturday for 6 weeks and we will need all the fridge room we can get so Thursday is all about eating those left overs!

Friday - we have a fundraiser through Bond's office so no cooking and hopefully some great food!

What does your meal planner look like?

Fill in the blank Friday

Happy Friday! This week has gone so fast, so let's get these blanks done fast too and get tot the weekend....

1. On a scale from 1-10 the frequency with which I get sick is in the 3-5 range, not including basic allergies, but it used to be higher, especially when I was a student because I would let myself get run down.

2. The last time I felt sick was right before I took a pregnancy test, which was positive. That of course is not including any of the normal pregnancy issues as sickness.

3. The worst part about being sick is nausea because it is the worst feeling in the world and the only relief is the second worse.

4. When I am sick I like to be Aiken care of by mostly being left alone to sleep, but having someone who can fix food and do general things around the house is necessary.

5. Something I do to keep myself healthy is get enough sleep. I can't let myself get too run down or I get sick so getting enough rest really helps.

6. A secret remedy that I use when I am sick is to sleep through it, and drink water. I don't think either of those qualifies as a "secret" remedy but they work.

7. One thing that always makes me feel better when I'm sick is macaroni and cheese, unless I have nausea and then I just mstick to crackers.

Hope you have a happy weekend!

Baby Vincent Update: week 19

We are one week a way from our next appoint, and yes we will know if Baby V is a boy or a girl, assuming He/She cooperates during the ultrasound.

This week I am so happy to be done traveling for a bit, it really wears me out!

I am also ready to get back into my normal workout and sleeping routines. I am especially missing my prenatal yoga, it really helps with all the little aches.

I have been eating a lot of bagels, especially while traveling. It's on of the foods I know I can get anywhere and it will satisfy and not upset anything.

I liked this pic, because you can see my bump from the front now too!

Fill in the blank Friday

Happy blanking Friday!

1. My bedtime routine includes, taking off my make-up, using a toner and a lotion on my face, a bit of light reading, then hitting the lights and turning on an overly watched Harry Potter movie that helps drown out the activities of the day.

2. I am tired, it's been a long week.

3. I can't stand spicy food because it makes my mouth burn so badly I have to stop eating.

4. My idea of relaxation would be a chi tea latte on my comfy couch, a great book or movie, a foot rub, and nothing else to do the rest of the day.

5. If I had an extra $50, I would take my hard working husband out to dinner, tonight!

6. The best thing about boggy friends is I am still pretty new to the blog world, but every comment brightens my day!

7. A recipe I've been dying to try is oh so many since I have been slacking on the cooking front lately, but I am looking forward to these summery treats, bruschetta with tomato and basil, pineapple strawberry water, and apple nachos.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Baby Vincent update: week 18

We are now at 18 weeks. The count down is on to find out boy or girl! Just two weeks from tomorrow!

I am feeling bigger this week and have gone up two more pounds, which is a bit above average but still in the normal range.

I feel like I am eating everything in sight, but pasta and chicken sausages have been staple dinners lately.

I have been pretty tired lately too, but mostly because I am so busy! Lots of travel which Is extra tiring, but really fun! I am going to try and start taking more random pictures and in some cuter clothes so keep a look out!
